We are on the waiting list for a local golf club. Not especially exclusive, but only a golf course and they keep a relatively small membership with low turn and the members are largely....vintage.

Recently we got a text from our sponsor; "Hey, just drove by the Club. Flag's at half-mast, you're one step closer."

Where are you in NE? I'm blessed with a dozen courses within 30 minutes of me. My home course is James Baird in Pleasantville, NY. I just started playing this year. NYS does very little right; this course offers a lot for low cost. The restaurant/bar is solid, the course is well kept, the cost is low, and just a great landscape to play. I learned that NYS leases the restaurant rights and the management of the course. Both leasees do an excellent job.

I hope it all works out well for you and you get your spot! Some of these old timers are salt of the earth! I've met 2 WWII vets into their 90's and a woman who is 93 and still gets after it.....LOVE THAT!

Cape Cod. We are relocating from Central Mass and gave up our membership at our course in Central Mass. I am looking forward to playing more as it is my Wife's hobby, she is very good, and finally will have more time to enjoy the game. While I do enjoy the game, 9 holes is pretty much my limit and 12 is beyond my admittedly limited attention span
