Yeah, my "village" I am in even has a NAPA store and it's a nice big NAPA store

Why the big announcement? With Walmart's internet division selling Warren Oil made Supertech synthetic @ 13 bucks for five quarts, what's the point?

Well that's good. I candidly would have just a bit of reticent about running a true conventional in the VQ35. I have for the record run Havoline DS and Formula Shell in my 3.5 VQ. But Havoline admits that their conventional is a synthetic blend and I am willing to bet dollars to donuts Formula Shell is a blend too. My concern is it has a bit of a small capacity of 4 7/8 qts for a 3.5 L motor. Because of this small capacity the oil doesn't get as much time to cool off quite as much as if it had say 6.5 qts or more.
As everyone here knows by now most "conventional" oils now are really synthetic blends anyhow. This is likely due to the volatility needing to be less than 15% to pass API SN. At least Havoline admits as much on their PDS now. The rest of the majors should join in as well.

Yeah man you are good to go. I really like Havoline DS in my Altima 3.5. I will have to go to Walmart to get Havoline DS now. Advanced Auto stopped selling Havoline recently up here. No more of the $20 Havoline Pro DS specials.

Nothing wrong with conventional, especially in the right applications. I think pretty much all SN mineral oil should be full Group II anyway, and not the old Group I of decades ago. Keep the OCI reasonable and they should do their job.
I like narrow viscosity range conventional oils, such as 5W20, 10W30 and 15W40. All good stuff.
