Gmc typhoon oil ?

Getting ready too change the oil on my 92 gmc typhoon with 100k miles been using 10-30 synthetic quakerstate aking with carquest blue filter .The oil cooler lines have been deleted so im running the chevy 2.2 on the block filter I pretty much drive it short trips on the weekend less than 1500 miles a year . Some people are saying go thicker with that millage.

10w 30 QS should be fine

On the 4.3 in the typhoon 10w30 is thick enough,
any consumption issues.

Its a blast too drive it doesnt have any consumption issues but a few leaks

Man haven't seen one for EVER !! I think early-mid 2000's !! It was the typhoon and cyclone !!

All the Cyclone/Typhoon guys I know run M1 5W-30. Don't know any specific reason why though.

I'd keep on using the QSUD 10W30.

I used to have a Syclone. I ran M1 5w30. No problems. What you're doing is fine.

Drive it more.
