Glass rinser. Gimmick or useful?

Isn't the dishwasher supposed to clean glassware just as well? And I can imagine after 5 years when the seal on that thing wears out, you will have a fountain of water spraying straight up, probably in the middle of the night so you wake up to a flooded kitchen.

That's dumb. You get the stuff out of the bottom of the glass but don't sanitize the lip so it wouldn't make it appropriate to share with someone else afterward.

Trying to imagine the target demo... a housewife with a bunch of hens over drinking wine at 3pm and quickly rinsing glasses/ showing off?

It's a luxury item.
It's for smoothie people that don't rinse their glasses out, or perhaps rinsing recyclables.
Not meant for sanitizing.

I really don't understand the purpose, seems like it would need frequent cleaning to not get nasty, which kind of negates whatever convenience it is supposed to offer. Seems like existing sprayers do this and more better.

Seems like a sink or dishwasher would do the same thing. Even a bottle brush might be better for that.

Having found old milk cups from the toddlers behind places, trust me, a dishwasher may not even get that stuff off!

These are common in bars. Draft beer is really sensitive to any residue in the glass, it will foam up and lessen the experience.

Ask the guy with the million dollar house up the road if he has one.
