Gin recommendations?

Seems that all the previous gin threads got locked up, so let me ask here in case there are some new offerings out there: what's a decent reasonably priced gin, primarily for mixing, e.g. gin&tonic?

I've tried Citadelle recently and really liked it. Thinking of trying Bombay Sapphire next.

I rarely drink anymore, but sometimes a Hendrick’s and tonic is on the menu.

For gin and tonics, I like the stronger flavored gins like unique Hendricks, strong but balanced Tanqueray, or especially the very moderately priced juniper heavy Gordon's. I don't drink martinis so have no opinion on what's best in them. And get a nice tonic water like Fever Tree.

What do you like?

Fords Gin is supposedly a favorite among bartenders. I've read Tanqueray No 10 is popular but is considered very floral and citrus forward. It supposedly has grapefruit notes and I dislike grapefruit so a no for me.

I used to enjoy a couple of martinis on the weekend...drank a lot of Tanqueray and Beefeaters...both were my default gins. Some of the more esoteric gins I've had are Bluecoat, Mermaid and Junipero. All are very tasty. Get a shaker and some good vermouth...drink responsibly!

I have settled on Tanqueray sometimes when I stretch and want to get something a little nicer I'll grab a bottle of Tanqueray No. 10. The number 10 is super nice but it's $20 more per bottle.

For London Drys I have the classic staples on my barshelf: Gordon's, Bombay Sapphire, and Tanqueray. Usually reach for the Tanqueray because I like the pine and citrus. A bit more complex and very botanical bottles there are Hendricks, Citadelle, and Monkey 47. Hendricks being more floral, Citadelle more punchy, and the Monkey is more fruity. I blame my son for the rabbit hole of gin tastes I have gone down, he is the bar manager at a high end cigar lounge in town with about 25 different gins on their shelf.

The Botanist Gin from Scotland is quite good and seems to reasonably priced. I've only had it at a local restaurant...

Gordon's or Beefeater are both fine for the occasional G&T that I drink.
Maybe I need to expand my horizons on the subtleties of gin.

My recommendation about gin is not before 5. AM or PM is situational, I guess.

I will second the The Botanist, very herbal and makes an excellent Negroni and G & T if you want that much of a gin presence. For a less intense gin, hard to beat Bombay.

My liver had a discussion with me back in January and I went completely alcohol free for about 6 weeks and then very little before Easter. My issue is non alcohol fatty liver, not helped by daily drinking. Now I am limited to a couple of drinks a week. I have Bombay in the cabinet for when I want a drink, usually with a good tonic water. I never cared for the flavor of Tanqueray. Beafeaters, Gordons and others are fine.
