I swore I would never be the old guy going 45 mph in an old pickup truck yet here I am being the one holding up traffic every single time I get on the road. Time sure does fly.

ROTFL..... Me too.
I made same swear/oath. Did my best trying to die by high mph as young kid.

Now the wife can't stop saying two things when we riding. "Speeeed up grandpa!"
The one she really gets a kick out of and can't stop laughing about is "Turn the blinkers off old man."

Getting old. Am I getting too old too fast knocking on 70yrs? How does one know?
Here is a darn good clue for any mature motor head/addicts out there.

The wife tells you something like mine has told me several times recently. "You know how bad you want one, just go ahead and do it. Why don't you stop dreaming. Just go out buy one of those Chargers, or the Challenger like you been wanting for so long?"

Now for it. The clue you may be about past your Automobile Fun Times Expiration Date?

Your wife has told you those very words. Your wife means it. You know she means it. You been with her long enough to know it. This is not one of those "Wife must test the Husband traps" that some women have in their blood. You are 100% certain that it is not a set up.
You even tell yourself ..... "She says "DO IT ALREADY!"

Now, just because I know it is NOT what we need. Not the best idea at this time. I can not let myself do it. Why not? Because with both of us dealing with bad backs, necks, knees, hips etc.... I know inside we need an old timer / soccer mommy SUV.

The Young Me would already be sitting out in the back yard shop at 10:00pm at night with my radio going. Just staring at either the Charger or Challenger. Just admiring the near 20/30 coats of polish/wax/glaze/detailer I would already have sweated over.
YUP, not getting OLD, already there. Physically and now mentally too.

Oh well. Those grandkids deserve to ride in a safe SUV and not in any more Grand paw's low flying highway toys. :sneaky:

But if one ages gracefully :-) - it seems there are lot of young ones out there who love vintage cars :-)

Its a plus if one is naturally attractive.

I never knew getting older can be this fun. Its such a great feeling. However good health is a must imho.

;)100% correct on the health. You can do nothing without it.
Yeah man, i would pick good health over finances.

It doesn't mean hours in the gym, which may actually be counter-productive. Good health to me would can also be described by the analogy of the hmm of a finely tuned car wherein everything is in order. The ability to have a brisk morning walk with no aches and pains is such a blessing.
