German Castrol - Mixing

I picked up 6 quarts of German Castrol (0w30) during the latest BOGO at AAP.

However, I only need 5 quarts for my vehicle. What would be a good oil to mix the one leftover quart with? Stick with a Castrol product? Would it be OK to mix with a 5w30?

It really doesn't matter, although I'd stick with mixing it with a Castrol product.

GC is pao based. If you mix, do with ester oil like redline and G-oil.

You can mix it with absolutely anything.

It'll mix with any other API lube.

I mixed about 3/4 quart GC with 3/4 quart delo 15w40 in my lawn mower. Hasn't slung a rod yet. Mix away!

GC is should be good for at least 10k in most applications without worry IMO. If you run it that long will you need any top off? Will you do an extended OCI with a filter change at mid point? All reasons just to keep it.

Of course it'll blend with anything just fine if you don't need it.
