Anyone have experience with the General Tire "Grabber HTS" tires?
It's appears to be a new tire and there aren't any reviews on TireRack. It looks like a good tire and it's priced well.
I'm thinking of replacing the Conticraps on my Tribute. Mostly on-hiway, and snow plowed roads in winter

Nope, but I'll recommend what I have on my Escape, which is also an Escape forum favorite - Firestone Destination LE.
I've got 35K on mine and love 'em! Quiet, long wearing and excellent yr round traction. They also look good!

That General looks like a good tread design. Lots of biting cuts made famous by Michelin.

I'm leaning in that direction. Firestone has had a reputation of making some pretty cr@ppy tires. Maybe this changed when B'stone bought them, but the reputaion is hard to shake.

I have them on my truck an 01 Silverado and they are an excellent tire. Have 30k on them and still have 7/32 of tread left. Decent in snow and good in the rain and dry. I would buy them again but the truck has been retired to do a bad transmission

I had the grabber hts on a ford escape, they were great. This past July , i put a set on my avalanche. I have been very happy so far.

These tires are also sold by Walmart as the General STX. They were recommended as a "best buy" (HTS) by consumer reports a few years ago.

The Grabber HTS is not a new tire. The HTS 60 is the new version. That being said I have the older HTS on my Frontier and I like them quite a lot. They are quiet, dry traction is excellent and wet traction is quite good. I have yet to get into snow with them. I very well may buy them as replacements when the originals wear out.

I wonder if there is a UBB.Threads mod that puts in big BOLD letters at the top of the thread "This Thread is X Years old" whenever someone digs up one that is older than about a year.
If there isn't, there should be.
Or maybe an auto-lock on the thread if no new replies in about the same time frame.

Technically I made you look, you probably didn't believe the John Sipe name, though the sarcasm about Michelin inventing siping wasn't apparent enough.

Ran them on numerous work Explorers and Aerostars here in So Cal. Every aspect of these tires were great...except wear. Never got close to factory mileage of 60,000?..but were always adjusted by DT. Changed to DT Cooper Discoverer HTP. Firmer ride but are wearing well on last few Explorers..

I ran General Grabber HTS tires on the RAV (now gone) and was very happy with them. I would have replaced them with the same but sold that vehicle. I was getting a weird noise with the LTX prior to switching to General Grabber's. Was a nice switch, and cheaper too.

Great tires never had a problem with them
