B@S specs a grade 30w oil in your splash lube system. I think GC, being still in a 30 grade is fine. Im sure a light 40w oil would be ok, but something very near a 50w would pos not "splash" like B@S would like to see. I recommend staying in the grade 30W range even in +100 degree air temps for that engine.
