Good Morning,
I thought I would post my used oil analysis report for your review. I’m using GC 0W-30. I’m using an Amsoil air filter. I have 98500 miles on the Accord.
I have 5000 miles on the oil. I’m also using an Amsoil SDF-36 oil filter.
code:

You know, looking at your results and what I have seen with this oil in my 4.3 Chevy truck, it seems like a large proportion of the wear happens between 5 and 6k miles. This is even though my change oil light takes me to 6k. I need to change the intake manifold gasket so changed oil at 5k last time and the wear was quite a bit lower.

Shooting from the hip, it looks like a fairly good report. Data is more meaningful too, since you did a double run of the GC to get a better idea of how the GC is really doing. Thanks for the post. I have a similar setup as yours and it'll be interesting to compare results.

Are you sure you're using an AMSOIL air filter on this car? I believe it may be ordered thru AMSOIL but is in fact a Hastings air filter. I have a 2002 Accord & AMSOIL doesn't have an air filter for my which is a 6th generation like your car.

What was run before the S2K 0W30? Any TBN results?

BenJamming,
I measured the box and called Amsoil to see what would fit. I ordered 'S-1971' and just did a little trimming. I've had no problems with it. Good luck.

Iron on the GC samples is prolly higher because the virgin GC had 4 to 9 ppm in it already, so the reduction in wear on the CU seems to indicate better wear numbers on GC
