How do you keep your gazelle from jumping the fence?

Seriously, the two recent threads regading cats and dogs got me thinking about what problems a pet owner of exotic pets might encounter. I can't even imagine letting reptilians loose in my house, yet a friend of mine has geckos and a lizard roam freely.

I don't know about a gazelle - but to keep deer out of your garden here you need that 8' fence or more. And it doesn't hurt to add an electric fence a few feet away.

A guy up the road has emu's and lamma's - which is very cool to see. He just has a normal fence (2x3" wire). It is very funny when one of his kid's has a lamma on a leash and is taking it for a walk. I'll get some pics and post.

Yeah, people here in CA keep llamas, camels, ostriches, and emus. But they're not pets! Suddenly seeing a bunch of wild turkeys sharing the California hills with a bunch of camels is just weird. Actually, the US Army did use some camels during the last century.

My friend's geckos are about a foot long. His lizard is a little smaller, but they all seem to get along just fabulously. Reptilians stink. Make sure they don't whizz on you or your clothes. It's rank.
