Just took the snowblower out - pregrease, wax, etc.
Carb was run dry as well as tank.

Noticed a slight film on the bottom of the tank --- varnish...

What do you suppose I may can use on the tank. Don't really intend to remove and goes all out cleaning.

Heavy mixture of B12 mixed with gasoline ? Slight soak time and then run the gasoline out. I'd probably do this when I plan to use the machine vs. now. No need to run the tank now when I'm not using it..

You could put in a bit of B12 or whatever you choose, let it soak for a day, then add gasoline.

ISn't that EXACTLY what the OP said he was going to do???????

There is a product on the market specifically made to dissolve old gasoline varnish. Its called Mechanic in a Bottle.

www.mechanicinabottle.com

I bought some at Home Depot in the weed trimmer section last year. I think their other product called Ethanol Shield is available at Walmart, so maybe you can find it there too.

PS
I just looked on their website and it shows other stores that carry it.
