Stopped at an Irving Big Stop the other day to fill up, and noticed the pump now says it may contain up to 15% ethanol.
I know the government here has said they were going to allow the limit to rise, it was just interesting to actually see it on a pump.
I wish it was blended to be a higher octane like it is down there, here it’s still just 87.

I don't have an issue with E15, but I also change my oil frequently and do not allow gas to go more than 30 days.

For those who store motorcycles/classic cars, sitting for over 12 months is common.
There's several YouTube videos on how to remove the ethanol from your fuel.

The EPA continues to grant waivers allowing E15 fuel. Each only last a few weeks before requiring a new waiver. From EPA's website:

There's been a lot of controversy about the use of ethanol in gasoline, here's a little more:

Nothing too new, I have done a lot of cross country travel over the past 2 years and most of the truck stop chain stores have e15 as their lowest priced gasoline offering in place of the normal 87 octane with 10% ethanol, ie Loves, Pilot/Flying J, etc.

After my local loves made the switch and I purchased that fuel from them, there was a noticeable reduction in engine performance and fuel economy in particular. Thankfully there is a road ranger next to it that sells 87 octane gas with 10% ethanol and my car runs way better on that stuff. Only 7 cents difference in price per gallon but I easily make that up in fuel economy gains.

The MacEwan gas stations here in eastern Ont have had the up to 15% for a few months now.
Not sure if they are at that level yet ? I think the government mandate is 1% increase per year until they hit the 15% mark .

Is this the regular unleaded - or a special lower cost pump like Sheetz used to do?

Back when those things were made, E15 was not in their vocabulary.
Well they wrote it in the manual?

E-85 fuel
E-85 fuel is a mixture of approximately 85% fuel
ethanol and 15% unleaded gasoline. E-85 can
only be used in a Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV). Do
not use E-85 in your vehicle. U.S. government
regulations require fuel ethanol dispensing
pumps to be identified by a small, square, orange
and black label with the common abbreviation or
the appropriate percentage for that region.

We're talking about E-15, not E-85.

Yep once again we're being ripped off because more ethanol is less oil and more fuel being produced. Gas mileage is crappy and our reserves will double. At the same cost at the pump close to $5 here in California. Yep once again we're getting less for the same price. Just like restaurants and everything else in the consumer world. I digress I'm out.

Sorry, wrong clause. I knew I read it somewhere.

Some fuel suppliers sell gasoline containing oxygenates
such as ethanol, MTBE and methanol
with or without advertising their presence.
NISSAN does not recommend the use of fuels of
which the oxygenate content and the fuel compatibility
for your NISSAN cannot be readily determined.
If in doubt, ask your service station
manager.
If you use oxygenate-blend gasoline, please take
the following precautions as the usage of such
fuels may cause vehicle performance problems
and/or fuel system damage.
● The fuel should be unleaded and have
an octane rating no lower than that
recommended for unleaded gasoline.
● If an oxygenate-blend other than
methanol blend is used, it should contain
no more than 10% oxygenate.

(MTBE may, however, be added up to
15%.)
