I just heard on the news that gas cost more now than it did when oil was 135.00 a barrel.

I would love to pay the "US Avg". Around here gas is running 4.35-4.49 for the alst 3 weeks

If you want to have some fun, go check with the gas price in Montreal, QC in Canada ( http://www.montrealgasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx ) .

You will see how much the fuel companies take us for stupids: They have just moved back the 10 cents a liter jump back on Thursday night (it was on monday for a while).

i am in plattsburgh, ny, 64 miles south of montreal. we get most of our gas from canadian suppliers, and we pay about a dollar less per gallon than montreal (even when the canadian dollar is worth more than ours).
