You always find such cool stuff. That English made Esso tanker is pretty awesome.

I remember a while back you posted a Tonka crane/ truck thing, but I cant seem to find it. I remember you said it was rare.. DId you end up keeping it or did you sell it?

I just found a Swiss Champ SAK for $5 at a yard sale. The only problem with the knife was the ratty condition of the scales. There was also a large amount of contact cement gumming up the file and the pliers. Otherwise the tools were all like new. I removed the scales and cleaned the contact cement off with paint stripper. I also put on new scales and replaced the lost tweezes, toothpick, pen and pin. I always have spares, because I have several Swiss Champ SAKS, one in the car, one in each work desk, one at the shack, etc, and sometimes I lose a part or I damage a scale. $5 for the kinife, $3 for new scales and another couple bucks for the small parts. Not a bad deal, since a new Victorinox Swiss Champ goes for over $70.

Old and new scales next to the stripped and cleaned Swiss Champ. The new scales are simply pressed onto the sides where they lock into a few studs.

I just found a fully functioning mechanical Wehrle Alarm clock for $5. Made in Germany. Since the lume appears to be one or the other type of LumiNova, this clock was made after the early '90s. A quick search shows that Wehrle seems to have pretty much exited the consumer market. They still do make a few expensive instruments for ships, like a tide clock, a barometer and a chronometer.
