Does anyone have experience with these or currently own them? Looking for feedback, specifically for use in a winter climate with snow. My garage is heated but unfortunately does not have floor drains, so snow melts and puddles on the floor and then I use a floor squeegie to pull it out onto the driveway the next morning. My methods would be the same with mats but I would like the benefit of better containment and ease of cleaning out the water, and keeping the water/sand/brine from sitting on the concrete.

We have ribbed mats from American Floor Mats for the same reasons. The ribs hold the water and you can push it out the door. Cannot really sweep dirt across them tough, but otherwise they are great. They are extremely durable. I have them in the barn under several leaky British vehicles and they have been fine for ~10 years. Not the cheapest option, but worth it.

Thanks, due to the amount of water at times with heavy snow I'm thinking these might not work as well as others that have a lip around the edge for containment, as well as the ribs creating an ineffective squeegee. I'll keep them in mind.

i just use a wet vac with a gortex filter, sucks up snow, water + dirt off the bare concrete.
Hadn't considered that, but it takes me under a minute to pull it all out with a squeegee so I'm thinking that's still my most efficient option.

Thanks, I asked as I have two brand new contained garage floor mats you can have if you ever are in the Southern New Mexico area
Wow, yeah nearly 1500 miles one way probably negates my cost savings ;) but thanks! In box?

I don't use mats, but I've used low expansion expanding foam to make a loop on the floor around where the car will be parked. It contains the water well and it's pretty flexible so walking/driving over it doesn't crush it. I leave an open spot one the garage door side open that my squeege fits thru to push the meltwater out. In the spring, I just peel it up.

That seems like a great solution for melting snow in the garage. I am using a containment mat that is a simple rubber mat with an edge roll that contains snow melt. I used a wet vacuum to empty the containment mat when needed. The brine is really hard on the concrete, so the containment mat is doing the trick for me.

I have used a mat for the last four years and it works well. We have a heated garage without floor drains and my wifes car makes a big mess in the winter. The mat keeps it contained. That said, it needs to squeegeed pretty often. I will also pull it to the driveway out occasionally and pressure wash it. Water still gets under the mat, but it has really reduced the salt damage to.my concrete floor.

Garage has a drain here.
I don't like the salt laden snow melt though. On days where the wheel wells fill with snow/slush build up, I stop the car just before pulling into the garage. Hop out and give a light kick to the snow clumps. They fall off outside the garage.
It helps

Can you post some pics? I never thought about this before, but that sounds pretty awesome. The wife’s truck comes in loaded with snow and for some reason she likes to saw the wheel like she’s driving a short track race on a Saturday night. Garage mat be ****ed and looks like the bed comforter after a fun excursion.

I can't at the moment, I scrape it up in the spring. I can take some this fall when I get it going again.

Here is one of the two floors mats happy to give to you. Still searching for the second mat.
