Garage door freezing

Last winter was our first full winter in this home; this year it's been decidedly colder. The door in the garage on my side seems to now be freezing "often" to the floor. Is that a sign of a bad seal, something that should get replaced this summer? I know I have some humidity issues in the garage that I have yet to figure out (too cold to run a dehumidifier, tried that already, am sweeping it out more for now) and I think it's just condensation running down--I don't have a puddle under the door but when it does open I am finding a small patch of ice under the door. Wondering if the seal is going and a new one would stick less to ice.

If it is a two bay garage door, check the tension on the reel cables to see that they appear equal. You may have some slack by comparison on the reel cable on your side. If it is a single garage door, then you might check the seal condition and to see that the concrete under the door is not frost heaved.

Our doors here in Iowa will freeze down once in a while if we get pretty cold weather after a snow. The snow on the cars melts and freezes at the base of the door. It has gotten better with new doors and seals. I’ve never not had the door open BTW.

I try to keep the water cleaned up but sometimes life happens. I’d check your seals to see if they are ply able still.

Try some silicone spray on the garage door seal it doesn't stick.
I agree.

Last Week I had my garage door freeze for the first time ever.
For me, it was freezing water 'outside' the garage door / the next day temps went to 38* and all was well.
I then applied some 'silicone' grease along the door seal.

Maybe two half inch thick blocks of wood on each side so the seal doesn't touch the floor?
That would work. Garage much colder, unless if I fill the gap. I hate to admit it, but having a garage that stays warm(er) in the winter is really nice... I mean, call me soft and all, but it sure is nice to go into my garage, and get into a 40F car as opposed to one sitting outside in 10F weather.

Plus for me to "go to work" I have to walk into the garage (so as to go into the basement). That reason alone makes me want to leave things as-is.

So I stopped at the hardware store on the way home. They thought Vaseline would be fine? Just a thin layer. Not sure if that makes sense.

I do have this in the stash of random stuff in the house, would this be fine?

I'm thinking you need an insulated door, to avoid condensation running down and freezing on the seal.
That is an interesting thought, might make for a good upgrade to the garage to be honest.

I looked and it's just a small amount of ice. Probably condensate, so related to humidity and low temps.
