Doesn't mean I have to use it.

Dumping money into a "green" company that's about to go bankrupt, that never happens. Oh wait...

If there is no price/performance advantage, why would I be interested. Do I get an "I am a green weenie" sticker for my bumper?

You folks don't want to KNOW the cost of the biodiesel the Federal whack jobs are requiring DOD to buy and use is costing US, the taxpayer.

"Made in the USA from North American sourced base stocks and components"

Beats any bumpersticker.....

I guess they contributed heavily to some politicians campaign! As long as the government has access to your paycheck, they can spend as much as they want on anything the want.

Maybe G-Oil would be more accepted in the marketplace if they didn't place so much emphasis on their "greenness". Many people are tired of hearing about how everything they do in their daily lives is destroying the planet. After a while, people just tune that stuff out as noise. If GET makes good oil out of animal by-products and can sell it for a profit, it's all good. But if their long-term business plan is based on continued subisidies from the American taxpayer, they'll never turn it into a legitimate business.

Perfect. Every time you cash a G-Oil rebate check, its like a tax return

Doesn't mean you a right to complain about how heartless Republicans pushed GET out of business if they eliminate subsidies and other forms of preferential treatment.

Basically the whole announcement:

"Green Earth Technologies (OTCQB: GETG), the manufacturer and marketer of G-OIL®, is pleased to announce that G-OIL Bio-based Full Synthetic Motor Oil, which currently displays the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Certified BioPreferred® Product Label, is now identified as a Federal Procurement Preferred Product within the newly created 4-cycle "crankcase" engine oil category. The government just created this category of product that just exactly fit the description of G-Oil. Coincidence?

Does this mean USPS LLV's will use G-Oil? Because I know someone who services LLV's and they are told not to use premium fuel or synthetic oil for any USPS vehicle. Other government entities have similar procedures.

Actually, I thought about this for a few more...

Would it not make sense for our Armed Forces to have a 100% Home Sourced Motor Oil?

I think it means it is on the list to be one of the preferred option. If it already have a list, I see no problem adding 1 more choice so the procurement can get 1 more bid.

I do have problem if it was never a list or if it is on it but it shouldn't.

You are correct. But that won't satisfy the haters who will insist on seeing a government conspiracy.
