FYI: Whirlpool top load washer "recall"

Whirlpool released Technical Service Pointer #W11766193 in March 2025 for "F3E1 Pressure Sensor Error or Drain Pump Running Continuously" issues. The problem appears to be a faulty control board on top load washers made in Jan 2023 to Jan 2024 (if I am decoding the affected serial numbers correctly). Whirlpool will pay for the parts and labour but the replacement board appears to be out of stock.

Annoyingly, I purchased an Amana NTW4519JW based on various recommendations, but my unit was manufactured in Dec 2024 so hopefully I'm in the clear.

I just had the control board replaced on my Whirlpool top loader last week for this very issue. My washer was a couple months outside of the one year warranty, but they said it was covered anyway. I wasn't aware of this "recall", thought they were just being nice. The part took one week to get in, and the repair man said it was the first one he had replaced. I'm hoping the control board is an updated one and not another faulty one.
