We have two of these on our 06 Saab 9-3 (came with the car). They are relatively new and in good shape. The other tires are Michelins of some kind and look like they need to be replaced as they have sidewall cracking. I'm wondering whether I should get two more Fuzions, which would be the cheapest route, or chuck the Fuzions and spend a little more and have four better tires. I guess I'm asking, in short, "how bad or good are Fuzion Tourings?"

Below average tires.
I'd probably just get 4 superior tires and be done with it. But I don't know what your tire budget or priorities are.
What do you want from a tire?
General altimax rt43 are budget priced and well liked.

Obviously it depends on budget, but I agree with Rand. If you can afford a set of 4, why lock yourself into several more years of mediocre Fuzion tires.
Get a set of 4 good high value tires like the Altimax and sell the two decent Fuzions to offset the price a tiny bit.
Another option would be to replace the 2 bad tires with a pair of better tires, still better than buying more mediocre tires, in my opinion. Might need to be a little more cautious while driving with the tire mismatch though.

My now SUV daily driver had 4 new Fuzion tires on for the sale.
I drove on them about 5k miles (2 hours a work day, 95% highway).
The were fine but I had some tire whine at highway speeds.
Only drove wet and dry conditions, no snow, dirt etc.
So after about 5k I had them taken off and got Michelin Defenders, tire whine gone.
Other than the whine, I can't say I had any driving problems with them, I just wanted a different tire and something of a major brand.
I had the tire exchange @ DT and although the guy thought I was a bit crazy taking basically new tires off, I didn't expect anything for the Fuzion's. He knocked the cost down almost $200 saying he'd have no problem selling the Fuzion's.
Personnel preference - go with Fuzion if happy with them and save some $$, or go something else all around. I just opt to go with something else at the time.

I say that this all depends on your budget, how long will you be keeping the car, how you drive(style and climate) and what do you want out of your tires?
Do you really like the car and you want a tire that is special or just a really nice tire that does most everything well?

Ya see, I like tires that are "really nice" tires. They don't have to be something special or even the best in category such as HP high speed rated tires.
I want tires that do most things well. I say, "most things" because I don't need a tire that does certain things as well as other things. I am looking for tires that excel in areas that fit my criteria of, driving style, climate, particular vehicle usage etc.
Which all tires do, I look for "acceptable" tradeoffs in one area, to get tires that excel in other areas!
