This seems like a nice enough car in general. We now have 1800 miles on it and the ride is impressive and the handleing is more than adequate. The seats are less comfortable than my other car even though it is 13yrs old. Fuel mileage is 33+ so far, by my math not the computer, and the transmission shifts on a par with most standard transmissions although the ratios are not of my liking. I would have made low gear a little lower and 6th just a tad higher.
I'm not thrilled with the throttle by wire, very vague and absolutely no feel. If you take off and slow the rate of acceleration it will cut off abruptly and sometimes stall. When coasting down hill it appears to keep the throttle part way open, for some reason, thus requiring more braking than normal. I get the overall feeling that the computer seems to think it knows what I want, or what it wants, and for the most part it is correct,but is so very wrong some of the time.
The electronic power steering leaves me cold; it assists nicely but has no feel, just not my cup of tea.
Now I compare this with my 99 Acura CL with 5speed with 82K miles.
If you need transport for four people, not all bad.
