I seem to have an interesting issue with my Cobalt. For the most part it runs smooth, but seems to be developing issues.

Example-as I cut back on the gas, it really cuts/jumps back. It almost reminds me of being "clog" like.

It also will sometimes want to "jump" at a light and just go.

It doesn't do it all the time, just on and off. At first I thought trans issue, but it being fuel related seems to make more sense to me.

I've got a few ideas, but what do you guys think?

It has not thrown codes, but I'm wondering about that too...

Does that car have a MAF sensor? Could be dirty.

I had an older saturn that I'm convinced went into serious knock retard due to sudden gulps of oil consumption. Once it revved above the memory point in the computer it took off with tons of pep. Maybe you have a phantom knock signal?

Do you have traction control on this thing? AT, I presume? What year?

This works on the Chrysler TBW systems, maybe it works on GM as well?

Turn ignition to on, and depress the gas pedal to floor once and release. Some kind of recalibration thing. (Don't do it more than once, that might reset the oil life monitor...)

I hate TBW - this smells like a cause.

That seems to be what everyone is thinking....

I had this happening on my Dodge Ram b3500 , 318 v8. The dealer said it was an oxgen sensor, so I read up on senors and they are replaced when they dont have to be according to research., so, mine was running good one day, the next popping, going dead while idling, losing power, so I got a bottle of Stabil, poured in 6 oz and fill the tank half full and never had a problem since, so it was water related and now its been 3 months and all is well. MMO didnt do it, Heet didnt do it, Lucas injector cleaner didnt do it, but STABIL DID, so it worked for me...yea
