I just finished replacing the pump a little over an hour ago. I would have typed this sooner, but I needed some time in the shower to thaw out first! The auto hobby shop doesn't allow fuel work, so I was forced to do this in the parking lot. I could have waited until warmer weather, but that [censored] rattle was getting on my last nerve!
I finished, crossed all of my fingers and toes, and turned the key. NO RATTLE! I almost didn't believe it I've been hearing it for so long, so I ran back and put my ear to the top of the sending unit; nothing but a slight hum. While the rattle being gone is fantastic, the vibration at idle in drive hasn't subsided with the replacement... : / One thing at a time, I guess
