I use Fuel Power in my Golf TDI as per Terry's advice. It has a 55L tank but I regularily fill up with 60L (15.8 gal). Diesel quality isn't the greatest here, so is it OK to use 4 ounces per tank instead of the recommended 3 ounces (1 ounce per 5gal)? Does it do anything or am I just wasting the additive?

1 extra ounce wouldn't make much of a difference, and with the low quality fuel, the extra ounce is probably a good thing. Don't worry about it, you'll just run out of FP a wee bit sooner.

Using a little more FP will not hurt anything. If you notice better performance then stick with it, if not you're just wasting it.

Thanks.

I noticed that the car runs well and the engine is smooth with just Fuel Power as the additive. For a few tanks I added Amsoil Cetane Booster as well, and the engine felt rougher, less responsive, and didn't seem to like lower RPMs (2000RPM and below) as much. Should I not add cetane booster along with Fuel Power? Is there something I'm missing?

Unlike most gasoline additives, I think it's not so kosher to mix diesel fuel additives. In fact Amsoil has specific warnings about mixing their own Amsoil diesel additives together.

I thought it's not OK to mix the additives BEFORE putting them in the tank. I have 2 separate containers in which I store the additives, I don't mix them beforehand.
