Frontier plane hits trespasser at Denver

Someone apparently jumped the fence and got hit.



A lot of the reporting says “pedestrian” but I think trespasser is more descriptive.

I feel more sympathetic towards the passengers being inconvenienced than I do the idiotic trespasser.

Seen what? All one could see through the window was a flash.
The real inadvertent horror was the passengers walking right by the engine's intake with all the laundry in plain sight.

If you had a view in front of the wing taking in the engine inlet on the side involved you would have seen the ingestion, which would have been horrifying.

What is going on with commercial aviation in the US? So many bizzare and terrible unexpected incidents over the last few years. Is this getting worse or just more reporting of these things?

It’s not “getting worse” - we have unprecedented numbers of flights and of people traveling.

The Jazz flight that hit the fire truck in La Guardia was the first fatality in over a decade.

Mentally disturbed or drugged or drunk beyond any sensible actions seems a likely explanation.

That is a very good observation. Very sad to what is called news. News is to inform. Propaganda is to influence. No doubt what is labeled as news is unquestionably propaganda.
