I have 25k on a set of Sensens on my 02 camry and am happy.

Oddly, rock auto doesn't offer that brand anymore.

They show monroes for $42, which, why not?

The OE supplier was either KYB or Gabriel, so I'd start there. Both companies are running a rebate promo thru the end of April.

My choice would be the KYB quick struts, since you can buy only the front pair and still get a $40 rebate. even though the springs are OK, the quick struts are much easier to replace, and Toyota's springs do sag pretty bad.

How many miles on the car? 2010 seems pretty new to need new struts

68k and reason the struts need replaced is "excessive leakage" which means failure in PA Safety Inspection

I'm glad we don't have those yearly extortions in my state.

I like KYBs.

Yeah PA inspection is a total joke. Plus the cost for that and emissions is a ripoff

OEM unless you're going to change out all 4 to the same brand/model. Changing the fronts to aftermarket will have an effect on ride & handling because of the difference in valving & internal pressure/oil of a non-OEM strut

I have Spax on the front of a Gen 4 Camry and KYB on the back. Handles fine. The Spax were a very good deal at the time, but I usually go with KYB.

Camry OE struts are not well made and do leak pretty early. Sometimes a shock to the owner. You can do one axle at a time. Toyota even issued a TSB saying leaky struts are okay-- too bad PA has their own standards (which are what the rest of the motoring public expects.)

If you go in on a rainy monsoon day you could pass with wet struts.

$44 each.

Total cost $244 for the front end. Get some spring compressors and you can do car after car. Less expensive than quick struts.

I've done many a saturn. I always use new front mount/bearing units. I've reused the rear mount many times as they don't have to turn like the front

P.S. Double check the above part numbers to make sure they fit his car.

KYB, without question. Id just replace all 4...thats what I did when I had one leaking..but up to you. Make sure to get an alignment after.

recommendation would be based on how deep your pockets are and how long you would want to keep it.

if you want to do the right thing - OEM
if you want a ride similar to the existing one - KYB (which I did for my wife's highlander).

Remember to change the dust boots whichever way you decide to move ahead.

Well, I'm going to call our Toyota we deal with at work and price complete struts. Then I'll let brother know price as he likes the KYB I showed him on Amazon. Thanks folks

Oem would be the best, depending on how much they want!

If you are able to cut and dissect these filters, you can certainly compress a spring and change a strut.

TRD Sparks / Sparks parts list the struts @ slightly under 100.00 or slightly over depending on USA or Japan built. Upper mounts are about 67.00 EA.
