As if we haven't had a cool Spring for long enough, we are having Freeze Warnings for the upper 20's - this late!

There's lots of food planted & up, annuals planted, etc - all could be wiped out. Geez.

I planted my pepper plants today.....I bought 2 that are extra large in case we don't have many heating days, the others are small pots.....we will be fine here. That is a LATE frost.

We've got a frost warning for tonight too. It hit 30F last night, but it was warm and sunny today (61F) and it's supposed to be sunny and 68F tomorrow afternoon.

There is 1 active alert issued by the National Weather Service for 49544

ALERT 1 - Non Precipitation Advisory
FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM EDT WEDNESDAY
Issue Time: 2:11AM EDT, Tuesday May 27, 2008
Valid Until: 11:15AM EDT, Tuesday May 27, 2008
Details

Looks like ours is for tomorrow night. Tonight's nice so far, 49 degrees out.

Yes, the weather really sux. We're back in the drought, and I'm going to have to turn on the A/C before the week is over. There goes the electric bill.

Wow, A/C has been on at my house since March.

Last week here has been tropical. Today is a bit of a break as the humidity is only in the high 80's a the moment and the temps are only going to hit 89 b/c of an approaching front. But, I must say, we did have a nice chilly winter this year.

Well in MN you run the furnace until about late May and then in about 2 weeks it will be hotter than blazes and you run the A/C until Sept.

Our first frost this morning....clear skies and a high overhead, looks like a bigger one tomorrow.A predicted 2C in the morning.

Silk, we picked all of the kiwifruit last Friday (had enough frost for them to set properly.

32Kg off two vines (three if we count the male). Had to explain chinese gooseberries to a British blade fitter the other day when I brought in some freebies.
