I have a Toyota 4Runner "V6" that has 160,000 miles and it grew up on a diet of mostly PP with a now and then Quaker State Ultimate Durability or Shell full Synthetic. The other day my dad hands me a 5qt jug of Pennzoil conventional that he picked up on sale at Walmart and said here I bought this for you! "Thanks dad" so would it be ok to run this for a short oil change even though my truck has grown up on a senthetic diet?

Use it with confidence!

Yes, at least 5K miles!!!

Pennzoil Conventional is a very good conventional oil and may rival some store brand synthetics such as Super Tech Syn or NAPA Syn in longevity/performance.

Pennzoil Conventional may be highest regarded conventional oil here at Bob's!

Thanks... By the way it seems from doing a search that Pennzoil Conventional is quite a good oil and well respected on this forum.

It's an API SN oil, meaning a modern formula. It definitely has a fan club here, but there are many other off-the-shelf conventional oils that work well too.

No, do not use it. send it to me and I will dispose of it in accordance with current EPA regulations. I have a 3.5L oil disposing machine that will take care of it immediately.

LOL. As said in all of those posts Pennzoil Conventional is an excellent lube, I use it every other OCI in my Chargers (3.6) and to be honest I think the engines run smoother than on "syn". I do notice lower oil temps when I use syn. You never know, you may become a Pennzoil Conventional convert!

I dunno dude. Pennzoil conventional causes sludge. You better send it to me, my car is immune to the effects. Consider it a favor.

:P
