Had some left over random bottles of gear oil to use up. Ended up with a franken brew of sorts:

1 quart conventional Mag1 80w90
1 quart Amsoil Severe gear 75w140
1/2 quart Mobil 1 75w90
3/4 quart conventional Coastal 85w140


In a Toyota rear axle. Will most likely run it for awhile befor draining and replacing with Mag1 full synthetic. Old oil was pretty nasty, pretty sure it was conventional with a few miles on it.

Any oil is better than no oil - run it until you feel like changing it..

It will be just fine. I would never change it just because it's a blend and for no other reason.
