I don't mix because of any reason. It's only to use up leftover quarts of various brands. And who knows, there may be a winner concocted by sheer blind luck!

That 2.5 Jeep motor could take it! I had one of those. I think those engines are practically indestructable--more like a tractor engine than an automotive powerplant. I miss my old Jeep sometimes, just for the caveman aspect of it!

Nothing outlandish here, not that I'd be afraid to throw a bunch of leftovers together.
Over the last few years I often ran M1 or PP 5/10W-30, fortified with a quart of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 15w50. (I scored the 15-50 cheap and was aware of it's increased additives even before discovering BITOG.)

That and they can't meet every application 100% in its needs... Some tweaking has to be good, if done right.

My dads Park Avenue just got its yearly oil change(he drives 2800 miles or so/year)
3 qts Traveller 10w30(Tractor Supply)
2 qts Pennzoil 10w30 conventional
Ive also ran 5 different brands of 10w30 in a 300 six in a late-80s F-150, but that thing would run great on anything!!!!

My dad very often uses leftovers for his oil changes in the van and it seems to have served him well over the years/vehicles.
