Fram XG8A 5K miles - used oil filter cut open

Used on a Jeep 4.7 from 270k to 275k with Mobil ESP 0w-30. Manufacturing date appears to be from Dec 2013. A33441. Anti-drain back valve was still good. Zero defects as expected. Replaced with the same filter and Delo 400 15w-40.

The oil did a good job cleaning stuff out. Included is a picture of the previous filter media using Mobil 0w-40. The difference is very noticeable.

These are still for sale on ebay plus I have 12 more so plan is to stick with 5K. My 10575 stash is down to four and will be used longer. Should have a 16K one ready to cut around the end of the year.

Nice run with that 4.7. If not allowed to overheat, that's a great durable engine. I had one in an 04 WJ and loved it. If they had put that in the 2008 Wrangler, I would never have sold mine. It would have given that Wrangler the power it really needed, and then some!
