FRAM ULTA XG3614 cut open

Just changed the oil today, pulled off the XG3614. 8,332 miles on this change (Valvoline Synpower 0W-20) any metal shavings you might see are from the hacksaw I used to cut it open.

And being wire mesh backed, the media is very unlikely to blow out like the unsupported cellulose of a cheaper filter.

+1 ... nothing to worry about in the media blow-out arena with the Ultra.
 
If you have the room (I do), you can use the oversized 3600 instead of the 3614....

The Fram 3600 has the same base and bypass pressure,
but it's a third longer.
 
I just filled the wife's Odyssey with Synpower 0w20 and an XG3593. In the last photo, I guess that isn't daylight at the bottom, above the Spanish word "DE" is it?

It does look like a nice product, for sure.

Another fine showing for the Ultra. They are getting us spoiled.
