Just put a Fram Tough Guard air filter on my Chev. It's oiled on one side (no dripping, no plastic covering in the box). If you want an oiled filter, what's wrong with this one instead of messing with a K & N? By the way, you can't see through it when you hold it up to the light and it's well made.

I have a TG air filter in my car right now and like it. Mine did come sealed in plastic tho. I would buy another TG but I already have a wix and purolator in my stash.

I just saw these at WM.

How many miles can you run them??? On Avg conditions.

Accordning to Fram, every 12,000 miles. According to most of the folks on BITOG, 30,000 miles for a decent air filter is easily achieveable.

depends on the filter and filter material. Newer cars use much better quality air filters than those that were used in the past. In my last car, I could get over 25,000 miles on it before I changed it.

I just put one in for my 95 neone back in february. No complaints. bought it at my lcoal walmart 3 years ago. sems nicely constructed.
the problem with K&N fitlers is,..tehy let more airflow in. that, sacrifices some filtering* plus you gotta buy new oil for it when its time to clean.thats more money right their.
