i read an article where some hondas can use an automotive oil filter. is there such a filter for this one? i can only find fram, that is why i am looking for a different brand.btw, this filter fits my bike , which is an '89 suzuki gsx-r.where can i go to cross-reference oil filters?

I read somewere that my '02 vt750 Honda can use a purolator 14620, which happens to be the same as what i use on my wifes Nissan Altima. I still use a Honda($12) filter though. If i went to a Fram, mine takes a PH6017A not the 6018 like yours. You should look at the Purolator 14621??? Check the threads and seal size.

There are only 3 manufacturers of filters todays and the rest are rebrand. I have been using k&n and actually prefer the OEM unless its for the ducati. Those are a pain in the butt to get off so thats the only reason I use those. Its easier to get off with the hex nut on the tip.
