Hi,

The Purolator Premium Plus L30257 and Hastings LF517 are the only filters that I've been able to find that cross-reference to the Fram Extra Guard PH3569...any other ones?

You'll do better if you cross reference from the engine itself. Most filter makers make some compromises in the recommended filters, and that can result in a different cross to another brand than if you track from the engine spec.

Of course, if you're supersizing the filter, you're on your own.

The bypass setting is the issue. If you're using this for long OCI's ..or can't fit a larger can (longer) ..then this engine spec's for the 30 psi bypass.

Otherwise ..it fits all of the most popular filters in the US market ..3/4-16 and the FLIA gasket size. That mean, IMHO, if you have two cars ..one spec's the 8 psid bypass ..and the other spec's a 30 psid bypass ..they start out at a very like PSID ..with perhaps a little variance...as they saturate ..they will also probably have a like PSID. If you change them at the same time (before the 8-11 PSID bypass reached 8-11 PSID) ..then they will both deliver like service. If you extend the OCI, then the 30 psi bypass will fully filter oil ..while the 8-11 psi bypass filter will not.

That # will almost directly cross over to the PH8a, 515151, fL1A etc.

That was the recomended filter for my truck then they started recomending the Ford filter instead.

The bypass is 8-11 on the #3569 and on the Ph8A style it's something like 11-15.

Wix is the only filter company that still recomends the 51452 for my truck. Every one else recomends the 51515, FL1A etc.
