FRAM Full-Synthetic 5W30

My buddy down in Waco got some for 99 cents a quart. He got a pallet or so. He is running it in a Dodge 4.7 and a jeep 4.0. He changes the oil every 2500 miles with the stuff so it can't be THAT bad

I'm pretty sure the PQIA tested the stuff. It seemed comparable to most store brand synthetics IIRC. If that is a good price for Canada I'd not be scared of it at all.

Well, if it's that good why is he changing it at 2500 miles? Seems very wasteful. He could go 6k minimum on that stuff most likely with periodic use. Talk to the guy or something. Give him this web address and school him already.

You are wasting ANY API SN certified oil changing it at 2500 miles. That is wasteful. Fram oil is blended by COP which is a very good company. It is a good oil but go at least 6mo/6k.

I've seen it but it never goes on sale. Why bother
buying it at $40 when you could buy the top brands on
sale for around $24.

Canadian Tire has this on Clearance now, maybe for a while. ~$15 something per 4.7L jug seems like a decent price around here for Full Syn.

I just found some at the Brantford, ON, Canadian tire. I bought the last 3 jugs of 5w-20 at 15.93 for 4.73 litres. There are still 2 jugs of 5w30 left. If you're near Brantford and want to pick some up.
