Off our Fjcruiser with 219xxx miles. Filter was on for 4500 miles.

The felt end caps are well glued and centered. You can see witness marks where the bypass valve and baseplate sealed.

I see no light through the bypass valve. You may notice glare from the oil. No light is shining through

No tears. Orange silicone anti drain back valve.

Base plate very thick and hard metal to grind off.

Pleat spacing isn't perfect but worked.

Filter cost $4.64 @ Lowe's.

This one looks good & the sealing spring is great to see. Toyota's being relatively easy on filters so this did well.

This was the exact filter that I used on my 1988 Dodge Shadow ES turbo that I bought brand new. Back then I was changing my oil every 3000 km and I drove it a lot so I did an oil change about every 3-4 weeks! I was using Castrol XLR 10w30 which only cost me $1 a liter, and the Fram cost me $2, so my oil change was $6.
