fram extended guard 12k on it

this came off my 3400 which has 113k on it the filter has 12k on it went 3 oil changes with valvoline Full Synthetic maxlife. i was kinda shocked how clean the oil was to.

Outstanding! Does this sacrifice efficiency in the 10-18 micron level for flow? I just noticed the op's 3 oci in 12k on syn - are you doing a cleanup or just not using the oil capability.
 
yea im a little crazy its a mix of both cleanup and not using it to full capacity.
 
I think you could have run the Valvoline Syn for at least 6,000 OCI', and and 12,000 on the filter. Seems like a waste of good motor oil.

But....the filter looks great! Might use one sometime in the future.

Doesn't say much for Valvoline oil if you have to change it every 3-4000 miles.

Mobile guarantees their Extended Performance oil for 15,000/mfr's OCI/1 year, whichever comes first.
 
All the broad based oil companies with a warranty always state not to go longer than 4K OCI. The filter looks excellent and I would definitely buy it for a decent price.
