How do I torque the housing? Do I need a different tool for the housing?

I have not heard any startup rattle/noise with the new Fram TG9018 filter, but I was never listening particularly closely. Engine starts sound more or less identical to ones with the CH9018. Less than 1000 miles have been put on this oil/filter so far, mostly city driving.

Longer extension, perhaps a wobble one?

^that's all I did. About a 6" extension worked fine on my car. Don't know if they have the same intake or not, I know my son tells me some are trickier than others.

This is what I always did as well. The Baldwin actually seemed taller as the cap was only in far enough for the o-ring to seal. The shoulder of the cap was not down on the filter housing. I expected to see the kinks after I torqued it but it looked fine.
