FP and fuel gauge dont like each other...

So my 1998 I30 has been using FP and LC for some time now, but recently i havent been using the FP because it seems everytime i do my fuel gauge wont read correctly the gauge shows too low when its full and so on, one or two tanks without it, and its fine.

Also i dont use that much, 2-3 oz's per 5 gallons.


any ideas?

Isn't the normal FP rate 1oz per 5 gallons?

Yeah that's way too much. Might not be the cause of the problem but before you drop it all together, lower the dosage.

Strange, I have used it at up to 1 oz/gal in the cars & had 10 oz in a 4 gal tank on the bike for shock dose without this happening. Does it seem to affect your mileage? I seem to get better mileage with an oz of LC mixed in with the FP than with FP alone.

mileage seems better IIRC
