I can hit oil temps that high with only a few minutes of manual shifting and aggressive throttle.
240f isn't a big deal these days,for the oil or the engines.
Gets the condensations and fuel evaporating out real quick.

Oil temps up to and even exceeding 300 degrees are commonly seen in 6.1 Mopars at the track. I used to have an email from Mobil that specifically stated their 0W-40 was just fine at those temps, not a hint of an issue.

This ain't your Grandad's oil or engine...
