I put a fram tg2 on my moms E150. The reason being was when I saw the new supertechs I thought they were junk. I did not know what ecore was a few days ago, but when I looked up the new supertechs, that is what all the popular ones were changing to.
I know fram isn't really any good according to most people on these forums, but I thought the Tg2 would do alright. However, after I put it on I got that dang ticking sound and after 400 miles or so it seems to be gone, but there was a slight line of oil on the side of the filter where the seal seemed to leak, because for once(honestly), I forgot to put some oil on the gasket before I screwed it on.
*** So to make a long question/story short should I change the filter to a supertech, now that I know they are probably better than fram, atleast as far as flow goes, or can I leave it with no harm done? I assume the ticking was just the bypass?
