Curious as to how Ford exhaust engineers managed to make the sound of the exhaust note of a Coyote Black Shadow louder and angrier than a straight pipe system.

Do you mean on a Dark Horse? For whatever reason since 2015 they have been loud from the factory. The driver's manifold is a catafold while the passenger (RH in freedom units) is a tri-y manifold that goes into a cat.
