I've a Ford E350 V8 that operates as airport shuttle and put about 250 to 450 miles a day. I'm using TA 5w30 with MC FL820S filter and change oil every 5K. Is this okay or should I change it more often at 3K interval. Any advise is appreciated!

Thanks, Bruce!
Thanks for this forum, I am using The TA 5w30 ($1.36 at Walmart) which works well in the E350. However, I'm tempting to use TA 10w30 which I've got from my local Dollar Tree. I just try to balance out my operating cost since gas price is on the high side. Any suggestion?

Any Quailty brand SL or SL/CF grade will run 5k with no problems. guys here want the oil to be changed at the first sign of darkening LOL.
I have 195K on a 5.8 bronco and have NEVER had valve covers off 15-20K drains or when I think about maybe once a year. Yeah I know better but work in lubes all day I want to forget about it when home. Us 5/30/,10/30 or the best which is HDEO CI-4/SL 15w40.

mason1125,

My company has several E350's with well over 350K on them. We didn't have set OCI's until recently when I took over the OCI's. We used to change them when we had time. That was usually around 7K-15K miles. We use 10w30 and standard filters.

I guess I should have added. Our company is very similiar to yours. We drive them roughly 200 to 300 miles a day doing mostly city driving with occasional highway driving. I think you'll find that the Ford engines in these vans are rock solid.
