2013 Ford Escape Titanium. Driver's door window would go down fine, but would only go about 1/3 the way up and then stop. Window didn't seem to be binding in any way. Slammed the door a couple of times and it started working again.
Next weekend I removed the door panel to inspect inside the door and didn't see anything mechanical that could have blocked the window path or caused it to bind. The window was still going up all the way at this point, but I did notice the window would not "auto up" like the other 3 windows, and would not do the "safety reverse" and go down if the window was "blocked" while it was going up. Tapped hard on the window control module (mounted on the door) a couple of times and the auto-up and window safety reverse functions started working.
But, I was also doing a lot of full up and full down test cycles and maybe holding the control button for a bit after the window stopped going up or down, so I'm wondering if I unintentionally "re-indexed" (reset) the window module like shown in the video link below without even realizing it, and that's why those features seemed to work again, and not from banging on the module.

Anyway, what are the chances that it really is the control module and slamming the door hard a couple of times or banging on it caused it to work again? I could hear mechanical relays inside the module, so it's not totally solid-state. Seems like it could be possible since just slamming the door on the first day this problem showed up caused the window to go up all the way when it previously wouldn't. Any ideas?
