I already posted on here a few months ago but i have another question , i can't find if the Ford 75W90 BO gear oil is Gl4, GL5 or both? it doesn't say anything on the bottle and on the internet i find some say it's GL4, Others GL5 or that it's both.
Anybody know for sure?? the Ford dealer i bought it from knew nothing...
I have 1 liter of it left, i bought 2, but i'm gonna do a gearbox and diff oil change soon and i want to make sure i have GL4 in the gearbox and GL5 in the diff, i already have another oil for the diff.
If it is GL4 i guess i will buy a few more bottles of it since it's fairly cheap

Glad to see you have clueless dealers over there as well! If the BO oil is rated WSD-M200-C it is GL-4 & meant to be used in MT applications with yellow metal parts.

fordpartsuk.com has the following info:
75w90 Transmission Oil 1Ltr

With Ford Specification
ESDM-2C175-A
ESDM-2C186-A
WSD-M2C200-C

To Fit The Following Applications

4 Speed Manual Transmissions
from 01-07-1970 To 15-08-1996

That is the only pre-1982 spec mentioned. If the info fits, then it is Ok for your transmission.

The Motorcraft 75W90 oil for the same Ford spec clearly states it is GL-4.
