HPL green cc can't be used only teal. I think the teal is worth using if you plan on keeping it for very long but doing regular spills with regular ulv is good enough. What's more important are the trans temps. My 10L80 only gets to 140-150 regular drives and 160 on long drives. I've never seen 170.
Wrong. Green CC is actually what Dave W recommends and they use in HPL’s 10R80s. Based on this that’s what I went with, and haven’t been happier. 20-something K on it and shifts wonderfully.

That's awesome, I dislike this watery ATF and would love to use something thicker if it won't cause any issues even if my cooling is good enough to keep it from thinning too much. I wonder why the website doesn't say it's ULV compatible only Dex IV?

I also use Green CC in my Subaru, which calls for Blue. It works great as well… but oh the conundrum! Using the exact same fluid for the Ford, that makes me a thickie, and on the Subie it makes me a thinnie! Whatever will some of the folks here do when they see this post?!? 🤪

Why use thinner fluid in the subaru. Just to have one for both?

I went ahead and just did the Motorcraft Mercon ULV from rockauto which was half the price of the dealer and allowed me to save $3 per quart even with shipping. With the amount of fluid needed for a triple fluid exchange on two vehicles like I plan that’ll save me $100 or so compared to dealer Mercon ULV and about half the price of HPL or amsoil. I might reconsider a switch after warranty.
