There are a lot of threads coming up about this and where they are made.
I have three American made Lincolns I bought YEARS ago. I paid around $25/ea.
I have two lever styles, one rigid tube and one flexi.
I have one pistol grip with flexi.
Each has their benefits and drawbacks.
Lever style pumps may require two hands to operate most times, and you most likely need a third hand to hold the tip on the zerk.
Pistol grips can tire you out but free up one hand to hold tip on zerk.
Flexi tubes can reach more places, but rigid tubes can be held tightly to the zerk if you have easy access that does not require a third hand.
I have NEVER had one issue with them and priming and this and that. Even when brandy new. Dropped a cartridge in and pumped a few times and never lost prime again.
According to Lincoln these are SUPPOSEDLY made in USA still:

Heavy duty series - Extra Long Solid Lever
Heavy duty series - Lever
High Pressure Series
You can e-mail them to confirm or deny.
Maybe order one online and plan to return if not made in USA. Make sure it's a free return policy.
Prices now are INSANE ($50+) and I am glad I have something that has lasted and not given me any issues like I am seeing here. It will be worth the investment as good stuff is getting harder and harder to come by.
There really is no need for a clear tube, As I have cracked one while bracing it on a chassis using a lever style.
Grease can separate and drip out of the gun. It's time to replace it then as the oils drip out.
