Flat Red or Metallic Charcoal?

I have to decide. Since the Metallic Med Blue I want can't be located and I don't want to wait forever, I basicly have these 2 colours to choose from. When I think about it, the red and the blue as well seem sorta base/entry-level...even ricey compared to the charcoal. I am leaning toward the charcoal, but would like to hear from the guys.

The Blue looks like all the Mazda 3s currently on the road! It's wierd how many RSX owners there are on the Forum. In a way, I'm not surprised, deep thinkers here as far as cars go. Lots of CRV, Element, A4, and Accord drivers here. At $18.7, the RSX is an incredible car. Anyway, I might have made a mistake. I think the mega-dealer has a silver, not charcoal one, but I looked around some more and the local dealer has a charcoal one. Red was my 1st choice, but I felt that metallic blue would wear better. No dice, none to be found. I might have to do a lil shuffling to get the charcoal or red vs the silver, but I think the charcoal is really classy. In reality, I just want it to be over and get a darn car to drive.

In my Neighborhood there is a UHP officer. We share war stories sometimes and I asked him if it's true about "write me up" Red cars?

He said Black cars get the most tickets, then Red.

Lowest he would say either green or blue.

He has been doing the Trooper gig for many years.

Charcoal, because if you ever had to drive the red one to a funeral, they might think you're there to represent the devil.

Lol, good one GoldenRod. I like the blue, but I prefer a darker one myself. I say charcoal over red, but the red stands out better so if you like that go for it. Nice choice of car btw.

Charcoal. Nice and sophisticated. The red just has a little too much of a Hot Wheels touch to it.

On a practical note, charcoal - or any of the grays - is the hardest color to match during repair or repaint.

The red looks hot if you WANT to stand out - think cops and ladies. Silver cars are EVERYWHERE I look nowadays - its been the most popular color for the last few years.

Go for the charcoal. A darker gunmetal would be nice too.

I got...SILVER!!! Very happy with the car so far (4hrs/100mi). I did not want to mess around shuffling cars from dealer to dealer. RSXs are getting harder to find. "Limited production" is what my dealer says. Silver w/ black cloth. Drives SUPER nice. Added 3oz ARX on the dealer lot at 4 miles on the odo. Really a nice car. I still can't believe I paid only $18,700, woot!
