I was surfing the web yesterday and came across a site for this stuff called "Five Star Shine". They say it is better than waxing and that dirts and bugs wash off with just water. Its made with PTFE. Has anyone tried this product before? If you have used it, how did it work? Thanks for an awesome site! I have learned so much!

PTFE *Teflon} is useless in a wax, as it does not bond to any surface without being baked on according to it`s maker,Dupont. try Klasse if you are looking for a long lasting synthetic sealant or maybe even zaino.

I bit the teflon wax and boy was that a mistake. Nearly impossible to apply and horrid results. Then again I didn't do it on a hot enough day (was only about 60'f) but still. awful.

But, think of the fun this summer on the hottest day of the year.

You can invite the local TV station over to record your frying an egg on the hood.

Won't the viewing public be astounded when you grab that egg with a spatula and flip it right over, not even breaking the yolk.

Well, that is if you're not a sunny-side-up person.

i used it, it did last long!

but i wanted a deeper shine, it was a clean shine but not that deep..

my wax was on for like 6 months, it was driven 60 miles a day and this was in the summer time.

i really like it for my rims!!!! last hella long!
